Ultimate ECS Tow Hook Mount License Plate Kit
FRONT PLATE MOUNT
Moving from Pennsylvania to NJ required that I put a front plate on my car. Instead of buying the OEM plate mount I decided to upgrade to the tow hook mount kit. Why? Let me explain…
I am a sucker for
UTILITY
Using the tow hook mount allows me to remove the plate for taking photos. Even though I do not yet have a GoPro, I plan on getting one and will be able to just order the attachment once I do to mount it to the tow hook for some awesome footage.
Better looking
I personally believe it just looks better. It could just be because it is different and new (to me), but I prefer it over just the plate bolted to the bumper.

The Base
AKA the tow mount extension. Be sure to carefully thread this into the tow hook location. You do not want to mess up the threads as you will need this if you ever need your car towed.
BEST HOMBRE TIP: Turn the screw in the opposite direction until you hear the threads line up and the screw will set it, then turn it the right direction and you will never mess up the threads again.

Never according to Plan
The washers included in the kit wouldn’t go around the provided plate screw.
An easy fix is to grab the washer with a basic slip joint plier and wedge in a flathead screwdriver to open up the washer for the screw.
DO NOT open it too much! You want the washer to fit snug on the screw, because they are not complete circles.
Once you open the washer enough put the screw and washer on the plate hole and push the screw through the washer.
Use the provided nut and with a 10MM wrench tighten down the bolts.
That’s it!
Sit back and enjoy your hard word!
Recap
I would recommend
Even though there was a hiccup in the sizing of the plate washers I would definitely recommend this kit.
